"Gacha®" (capsule toys) were imported from the United States in 1965 by Penny Shokai (now Penny Co., Ltd.). Penny was the first company in Japan to install gacha machines, and established February 17th, its founding anniversary, as "Gacha Day." Next year, 2025, will be the 60th anniversary of Gacha's arrival in Japan. Penny's parent company, Takara Tomy Arts, entered the capsule toy business in 1988 through its predecessor, Eugene Co., Ltd. Since then, it has been planning, manufacturing and selling capsule vending machines (gacha machines) and the toys inside them for over 30 years, and its capsule toy brand is well known under the trademark "Gacha®."

The "Gacha Piggy Bank <Gacha 2 Ez Model>" is a miniature gacha machine that allows you to save money, just as its name suggests. Its height is about 237mm, making it about 1/3 the size of a real gacha machine.

When you put money in (save) and turn the handle, a special mini capsule rolls out of the slot, and you can open the lock to refill the capsules and take money out of the safe.
